The short film (Tamil) explores how industrial agriculture, which relies on water-intensive hybrid crops, has contributed to the loss of biodiversity and exacerbated climate change. Millet plays a crucial role in the food security of the rural and tribal communities of India. A wide range of hardy, rain-fed millets provide nutrition to the rural poor. But these crops are increasingly disappearing with changes in land use and the failure of monsoon due to climate change, and consequently self-sufficient livelihoods are destroyed. The irony and climate injustice of this issue is highlighted upon the recognition that millets are internationally recognized for promoting resilience to climate change. The duration of the film is 6.58 minutes.
